In bakery, pastry and confectionery, vegetable glycerin is used to retain moisture in sponge cakes, cakes, brownies, muffins and baked doughs, reducing dryness during storage.
It is especially valued in fondant, gum paste, modeling pastes and edible decorations, as it improves plasticity, prevents cracking and facilitates technical work in dry climates. It is also used in glazes, fillings, syrups and sweet preparations where a smoother and more stable texture is required.
It acts as a humectant and water activity control agent, contributing to greater stability of the final product and better preservation of its organoleptic properties. Its high solubility allows homogeneous incorporation into food formulations.
It can also be used in artisanal cosmetics, soap making, hair care and crafts, thanks to its humectant properties and versatility as a technical ingredient.
Directions for use: add in small quantities according to the formulation or recipe. Mix until fully integrated with the other ingredients.
